Peace & Justice Coordinating Ministry
What was formerly PNMC’s Peace and Justice Committee has recently been reestablished under the guidelines of our conference’s new structure. Our new title is: Pacific Northwest Mennonite Conference Peace and Justice Coordinating Ministry. We assume that there is a wide range of peace work being pursued in our conference. Some people may be helping people to reconcile individual differences; others may be trying to help bring peace to war torn parts of our world. Some may be working for unity within their families and congregations; others may be trying to bring unity to neighborhoods and cities. Some may be working at bringing hope to those who are ill or grieving; others may be trying to bring hope to those who are poor and oppressed. But all are doing something important, and we believe that a compiled list of such efforts in PNMC churches will paint a picture of our conference that will be both encouraging and challenging. |
