Zion Mennonite Peace and Justice group is planning and organizing a 6-week peace and justice teaching tour of the Pacific Northwest Mennonite Conference by Associated Mennonite Biblical Seminary O. T. Professor Emeritus Perry Yoder. Perry and his wife Elizabeth grew up in the Willamette Valley and are graduates of Western Mennonite School is Salem, Oregon. This page will document the details of their visits to the different areas of our conference as plans develop. A calendar of events provides a snapshot of their visit.

	1:15	Why is there no Peace?  What does it take for there to be peace? The linkage to justice as the foundation of peace is basic.

We will refer to the book by John Howard Yoder, The Christian Witness to the State in the course of this session. We will also discuss the polarities in the Mennonite peace community concerning what we can demand of the state and the role of the Christian in the state.
